SEKAI NO OWARI announces the release of “Stella,“ their first single of 2026, marking their 15th anniversary year since their major debut.
This commemorative release will be issued through S.U.N.S Inc., the new management company established by the members themselves, and Capitol Records, a newly launched label under Universal Music Japan. Packed with SEKAI NO OWARI’s signature sound, “Stella“ is a long-awaited and definitive release that perfectly captures the spirit of their anniversary year.
 
The title track “Stella“ was composed by Nakajin, with lyrics written by Fukase. Opening with an elegant piano melody, the song builds into a powerful groove driven by deep bass and edgy guitar, while delicate, graceful strings add rich depth to the arrangement. Driven by a fast-paced beat that sets the heart racing, “Stella“ is an emotional killer tune. Fukase’s lyrics portray a journey of being swept up by fate while finding hope through self-reflection, as small acts of courage gradually grow into a powerful sense of determination. Combining SEKAI NO OWARI’s signature grandeur with a stirring sense of momentum, the song delivers a powerful emotional release.
 
“Nemurihime (Happy Ending Version)“ is an anniversary release newly recorded to mark SEKAI NO OWARI’s 15th anniversary since their major debut, reimagining their signature song “Nemurihime,“ originally released in 2012 and still beloved by many listeners today. While preserving the original song’s fantastical, delicate atmosphere, this new version brings horns and strings more boldly into the arrangement, giving it a richer, more expansive sound. With a sense of live-show dynamism, the track reflects the musical evolution the band has undergone over the years. This song, where nostalgia and freshness coexist, not only looks back on the past but also reflects the band’s determination to keep moving toward the future. Fukase’s gentle vocals remain as captivating as ever, bringing both delicacy and strength to the song and adding new depth to the track. Together with its narrative lyrics, the song creates an immersive feeling that draws listeners into a fairytale-like world, leaving behind a moving afterglow.
 
It has also been confirmed that “LOVE SONG (with CHANMINA),” a collaboration track with CHANMINA, will be included on the release. The song was born from SEKAI NO OWARI’s appearance on Nippon TV’s music program “Yoru no Oto – TOKYO MID NIGHT MUSIC –,” where CHANMINA joined the band as a special collaboration guest for a featured segment of the show.
During the program’s talk session, CHANMINA described “LOVE SONG” as a song that holds special meaning for her. The pair also delivered a collaborative studio performance of the track, which drew widespread attention and enthusiastic reactions across social media following the broadcast.
Now reimagined with a newly arranged track and featuring CHANMINA as a guest vocalist, the song has evolved into a powerful new version. CHANMINA has newly written the lyrics for her own section, and the vocal chemistry and exchanges between her and Fukase are among the track’s standout highlights.
 
The single will be available in four editions, each expressing SEKAI NO OWARI’s distinctive worldview.
 
The Limited Phoenix Edition includes live footage from SEKAI NO OWARI ASIA TOUR 2025 “PHOENIX“ in TOKYO, held at NHK Hall in Tokyo. Centered on the theme of “rebirth,“ the Asia tour traveled to seven cities for nine shows, with artist Shohei Takasaki joining the performances through live painting. The NHK Hall performance was a special homecoming show in Tokyo, announced as a surprise in the midst of the tour. Now, this one-night-only experience comes alive again on Blu-ray and DVD. Shohei Takasaki also oversaw the entire package design, with brand-new artwork created especially for this release, making the edition even more special and exclusive. Please note that the Limited Phoenix Edition is a fan club-exclusive product.
The Standard Edition cover artwork is an original illustration by forget-jpeg, who also created the illustrations for the teaser video of DOME TOUR 2026 “THE CINEMA,“ which begins in July. The mystical design depicts crows, often seen as messengers of the divine, gathering around a sacred presence and ascending toward transcendence. Evoking both fragility and a sense of new transformation, the artwork perfectly captures the worldview of “Stella.“
